The Riverside Town Supporters' Club (Putney Branch) were left baffled on Tuesday night after a stunning performance by Jon "Terminator" Tindall - for the opposition! Fans of the big-bad North-easterner could not believe their eyes as JT produced an unwelcome contender for goal of the season. One life-time supporter of Riverside Town, Mr F Butcher (owner of the local jellied-eel shop) was in total dismay, " I couldn't adam-an-eve-it! That boy needs 'iz mince-pies testing!" Personal sponsor of big-Jonnie, Arthur Fowler, offered support for the unlucky, long-time hero of the Black & Whites. "eezz top-banana player that Tindall! Best I ever saw!" The Putney branch are also excited by the recent new signing made by black & whites manager Singleton - but who is this Robbie Jones - surely not the "Trigger" who use to to play for the mighty reds? Answers on a postcard. "Come on you Town!" is the shout from the Putney Branch as tonight's game against the totally useless Half-way House approaches! Jed Fowke |
